Good afternoon Treasure Coast. Today will be the driest day of the week. With that said, moisture values will be high enough for scattered showers this afternoon. The coverage will not be widespread but showers are certainly possible.
For Sunday and Monday, a mid level trough extending from the Great Lakes to the Gulf will keep the typical sub-tropical ridge suppressed. This scenario with suitable moisture will produce scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms, especially on Monday.
Tropical Storm Bertha will reach her closest point to our region late Monday with a recurve well east of Florida. The trough I mentioned above will be the player that keeps Bertha from affecting our region. Rain chances will be slightly higher then normal throughout the period. The GFS model graphic below shows the location of Bertha at 11 PM Monday night. #treasurecoast
