Good Saturday morning Treasure Coast! Very dry air exists along the Treasure Coast today. A few showers near the immediate coast is possible later today into tonight.
The high today will be around 90 with very low rain chances. Saturday night looks pleasant with lows around 70. Sunday, the shower chances are up just a bit to 20%. The high on Sunday will be in the mid 80’s. As we migrate to next week, the rain chances are bumped up to 40% on Tuesday and Friday.
Good morning Treasure Coast. WE have a lot going on so let’s get to it. Of course our main concern is what is happening in the tropics. A hurricane hunter is going out today to investigate the system that I expect will soon be Colin. The model trends have been more towards North Florida but these models will likely change when the system develops. Regardless of the track, the system will be large and will affect a large area with rain and potential severe weather.
Good evening everybody. We continue to closely monitor the potential development in the Gulf. System development is becoming more likely as time goes on. Regardless of system development, rain chances are going to increase significantly early next week in East Central Florida. Deep tropical moisture is going to bring increased rain chances to our region as well as most of Florida.
Good morning Treasure Coast!! Today will be mild with a high in the 80’s. There is an increasing chance of rain and thunderstorms today and Friday.
It will turn noticeably cooler this weekend!
Increasing southerly flow will continue to raise moisture levels for today. The latest HRRR hi res radar model (see video) indicates showers and storms on the increase throughout the day. By later today, showers should be the general rule for most locations.
The rain chance today is 70% and the rain chances for tomorrow are 80%.

Good morning Treasure Coast!! It is a chilly morning across the region. The low at our weather station was 39 at 7:31 this morning. The official forecast and the models indicated that so the forecast was right on target. Today, it will struggle just to get past the 55 degree mark.
Good late afternoon Treasure Coast!! The temperature forecast for tonight has been bumped up a bit and the HRRR temperature model verifies that. The original forecast called for 35 and now we are looking more at 39 or 40 and warmer right along the coast.
It will be interesting to see if the forecast for tomorrow night changes some as well in response to the model output.

Not sure at this point. Been running all the various temperature models and I am just not seeing freezing temperatures along the Treasure Coast. According to the models, the freezing temps are staying well inland and along the west coast of Florida. I keep coming up with 35 as a low. They are predicting 31 for our area as we are under a freeze watch for tomorrow night. I am now running the GFS model to see if there is any difference in the results. Even with this model I am seeing about 35 in our region. Areas farther north of the Treasure Coast are almost definitely going to see freezing temps.
Good morning Treasure Coast! Do you miss summer? Well today might give you a taste of it again. Temperatures could soar to the upper 80’s in some areas today.
A warm and humid airmass will be in place. A passing thunderstorms is possible especially along the sea breeze boundary. Very similar to a summer day. Coverage will be isolated but a rumble cannot be ruled out. Storm motion today will be towards the North East today.
Good Monday morning Treasure Coast!! Although we are not in a tornado watch area, a line of rain and storms will likely move across our region ahead of a strong cold front. Tornado watches are in place for parts of the Florida Panhandle at this hour.
Today, a strong cold front will approach East Central Florida and will move through the area by late tonight. We could see some lightning storms develop ahead of this frontal system along with heavy rain and wind gusts to 50 MPH.
