Nor’Easter Gearing Up For Battered Northeast

The last thing that anybody in the Northeast wants to hear about is bad weather or a Nor’easter.  Unfortunately, a new storm is expected to take aim at that part of the country next week. Models are showing a nor’easterr type system forming off the coast of the Carolinas in a couple of days. This system will then chug north up the coast bringing heavy rain, strong persistent NE winds and snow to an area that has already seen enough.

The weather system could bring more flooding in the form of both rain and higher then normal storm tides about the middle of next week. We will have to see how this all transpires once the system actually starts to  develop. Right now all this is based on models and it is the same model that accuratly predicted the superstorm almost a week before it was even in the forecast.

Residents in this area should heed 100% all requests of your local government. If you are in an area that might be at risk for flooding, be sure you leave if asked to. I think Sandy made many of us realize that evacuation notices are always given for a reason. They are given to save lives.
