Another Nor’Easter May Be In Store for North East

Another large Nor’Easter may be headed to the  Sandy  impacted regions next week. This is not something the folks in the north east want to hear but it could be reality. The same model that  accurately  predicted both Sandy and the last nor’easter is predicting yet another  extremely  strong storm for the same region. The  scenario  and the weather patterns are uncannily similar except for the hurricane part, of course. This system will not be tropical in nature but it could pound a knock out punch to the already storm tired North East.

The ECMWF (European) model is the model that is showing an extremly large and vigorous storm system just off the coast of New Jersey and New York. The projected storm has a large and dangerous wind field that could add insult to injury to the areas that are still trying to recover.

It is still too far out too predict what areas might get snow and what locations might see rain. It is also uncertain on the exaxt track but the system will be there in some shape or form in the Sundsay to Wednesday time frame. Just in time for Thanksgiving.

My advice is to keep a close watch on the weather and be sure your storm stock is well equipped just in case this system again knocks out power. Since the moon phase is not in the full stage, that will help with the high tide cycles as the tides will not be at their highest peak.
