Wet Weather Coming To The Treasure Coast in Florida

A tight pressure gradient will exist most everywhere today which will increase the winds to Lake Wind Advisory status today. Winds will increase to 15 to 20 MPH with frequent higher gusts today.

Deep layer moisture will continue to increase through the day with increasing precipitation chances through the afternoon. Most of the precipitation will form along the sea breeze boundary which will likely keep the majority of rain towards the interior areas.

For Thursday, very high moisture content with precipitable water as high as 2 inches. This moisture will stream northward ahead of a cool front moving in from the Gulf Of Mexico. This scenario will produce a very juicy environment along the Treasure Coast.

There is a potential for some very heavy rain as some models are indicating a defined low forming in the Gulf ahead of the front. If this happens, rainfall could become more focussed and heavier. This is a likely scenario since the chances are at 70 to 80%. We will update this information as soon as the next model runs are out.

Drier air will start to move in on Friday with a beautiful weekend ahead.
