Tropical Storm Bertha 11 AM Update

Bertha 11 AM Track Update…
Bertha is currently experiencing the southwesterly vertical wind shear and is picking up dry air located near the storm. This will limit any other intensification in the next 48 hours. There after, conditions will improve and the shear will relax. This will allow for at least modest strengthening.

***Bertha 8 AM Update****
Good Friday morning everybody! Bertha continues ro be a 45 MPH Tropical Storm at this hour. NOAA aircraft is currently in the storm to see if there are any changes.

Bertha continues to race to the west-northwest at 17 knots. The cyclone is still being steered by the strong sub-tropical ridge.Once the system approaches the eastern Bahamas, the cyclone is expected to make a northward turn which will be created by the southerly flow between the sub-tropical ridge and a trough over the eastern US.

The track confidence is high for the next 3 days thereafter the confidence decreases.
