Winter Storm Saturn bearing down on East Coast…….****
****Coastal Flood Warning for Coastal New Jersey and New England****

Winter storm “Saturn” is now affecting the Washington area and as the system moves offshore and then turns more north, the system will have an impact on inland areas of New England as well as along the coast. Many flights are now cancelled and more will be cancelled as the day goes on into tomorrow. Many New Jersey coastal areas are under voluntary evacuation orders due to the potential for coastal flooding.

We will keep you posted on potential snow amounts for the New England area. Originally, it was thought that this area would be spared but it looks like the snow will affect this region as well. Some coastal areas will start the storm out as rain.

The rain/snow line in DC appears to be right along the Beltway area.

100,000 people are now without power.

Today is the anniversary of the March 1962 storm that devestated parts of the New Jersey coast with tidal flooding.
