Vigorous Winter Storm Expected for East Coast

Hi everybody. If the bitter cold temperatures are not enough for you we have another ingredient to add to the mix. A vigorous snow storm could affect the east coast including Massachusetts. Two storm systems are going to meet near the East coast US and then move towards New England as a Winter Storm.

The timing for the system to hit the North East appears to be a late Friday to Early Saturday event. Since we are 3 days out these time frames could change. Because of the cold temperatures, all snow is forecast. There should be no periods of rain.

The heaviest snow could be from southern Rhode Island to South east Massachusetts. Again, this model is subject to change.

Sunday, things will dry out and temperatures will moderate a bit throughout the New England/ New York region.

We will keep you posted on the timing and intensity of the expected Winter Storm.
