Weather | Treasure Coast Forecast 3/11/17

Good Saturday morning Treasure Coast!! Some changes are in store for the region over the next few days with cooler temperatures and a greatly enhanced chance of rain.

A weak cool front has moved through the area this morning. High pressure will build to the north and will increase the winds from the E/NE. Highs today will reach the low to mid 80’s.

The cold front will move around Lake Okeechobee and then stall overnight. The front will then begin to move north as a warm front. The onshore flow will begin to pump moisture into the area and will increase the rain chances.

Wet Weather Coming To The Treasure Coast in Florida

A tight pressure gradient will exist most everywhere today which will increase the winds to Lake Wind Advisory status today. Winds will increase to 15 to 20 MPH with frequent higher gusts today.

Deep layer moisture will continue to increase through the day with increasing precipitation chances through the afternoon. Most of the precipitation will form along the sea breeze boundary which will likely keep the majority of rain towards the interior areas.

Higher Rain Chances Today Along The Treasure Coast

The rain chances along the Treasure Coast are elevated today due to an upper level low that is sitting East of Florida. This low will drift towards the state today and we will watch for any organization. You might want to have an umbrella handy today.

The tropics are beginning to blaze right now but the good news is that none of the systems are posing a threat to the United States. Remember that a good portion of the hurricanes that have hit Florida have been in the second half of the season which officially starts today. October is also quite a busy month for Florida as far as storm go. We still have a good 2 months to go before we are in the clear.

Wet Weather For the Treasure Coast This Week

Hi everybody. For the week prior to Memorial Day, expect more rain for the Treasure Coast in Florida. The rain chances are 60% for Tuesday with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. The rain chances will drop to about 30% on Memorial Day. Good news for all of those Bar B Q’s that will be going on. Will you get wet in your neighborhood? Check out our radar suite to see!

Beautiful Weather Week For The Treasure Coast!!

Hi everybody. As we rapidly approach the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, things are looking quite tame. The Tropical entity that some models were showing up for next week have backed off on the idea and everything looks like it will be fine. We are looking at 80’s during the day and 70 at night. It does not get any better.
