Joe’s Disco Weather Central Time Capsule for May 9, 2003

Hi everybody and welcome! Well for me, this week is vacation time. I actually got a whole week to myself to do whatever and whenever and it feels so good. There have not been a lot of weather events this week to follow locally. It actually has been rather quiet with just some showers and a few thunderstorms around. The most rain I recorded at my weather station this month occurred on April 26th where 2.05 inches fell. The total for the month stands at 2.60 inches. This compares to 2.83 inches for the month of April in 2002. The highest wind gust occurred on April 26th at 2:34 am and was clocked at 17 mph. This gust happened during a strong late night thunderstorm. This compares to a gust of 17 mph on April 7th of 2002. The average mean temperature for the month was 72 degrees. The highest temperature was recorded on April 8th and was 92.7 degrees. This compares to a high of 91.9 on April 26th of 2002. The lowest temperature was recorded on April 8th and was a low 46.8 degrees. The low temperature of April 2002 was 61.3 and was achieved on April 11.

That’s a rundown of the climatology for the month of April. Enjoy the outdoors before the summer rainy season starts and we have to dodge the raindrops.
