Blizzard Warnings for Massachusetts and New York

Blizzard warnings have been issued for eastern and SE Massachusetts along with the New York City area. Winter Storm Warnings are in place elsewhere.

Increasing clouds tonight will lead to light snow early tomorrow. The air column will remain cold enough to support snow  throughout  the region.

Snow will become heavy by the evening commute and travel will become hazardous.

Travel later in the night may become impossible. If you need to travel, be at your destination before Friday night as you will not be able to get anywhere after that.

Historic Blizzard Possible for New England

Guys, it looks like 2 systems are going to collide which could mean a MAJOR blizzard for New England. Unlike the first models, the new models are showing this to be an inland event. If you live in this region, prepare accordingly. This could be a life threatening event for the unprepared.

This storm is expected to be of Historical proportions and 2 feet of snow are not out of the question. The worst of the storm will be Friday night into Saturday. Prepare for potential power outages and impassable roads during this period. Winds could gust up to 45 MPH so a wind event is also anticipated.
