Florida Dry Season Is Officially Here!

Official Florida Dry Season Has Begun…

We can now say we are in the dry season for Florida. Gone are daily afternoon thunderstorms and downpours. That is not to say we will not see days with some showers or thunderstorms but they will be a lot less frequent. Most of the rain we see from now on will be associated with frontal troughs.

While the tropical season is quickly winding down, one area we always have to watch this time of year is tropical systems stemming up from stalled frontal systems. Most of these types of systems will form close to home and become more rain makers then wind makers.

According to some computer models, we might be seeing the first of the cold fronts coming through later next week. We will keep watching to see if that indeed happens. Maybe we can give a break to those AC bills!

Enjoy the great weather that Florida is famous for during the next 8 months or so!
